Emily Leffew RD, LDN

Emily has been a registered dietitian since 2014 and worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, doctor’s offices, a cancer center, and most recently a cardiac rehab facility.

“I love helping others improve their nutrition because what we fuel our bodies with determines how we feel both mentally and physically. What led me to become a dietitian was a family history of cancer and heart disease, and the realization that we can change the course of our lives through modifiable lifestyle behaviors. I have a passion for disease prevention and teaching others how to enjoy nutritious foods. Outside of my profession, I love spending time outdoors in cold or warm weather. My favorite activities include jogging, hiking, swimming, snow skiing, and water skiing. My favorite places to visit are the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and Topsail Island in North Carolina!”

In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her two kids, her husband, and their German Shepherd named Bear. She also enjoys experimenting with recipe modifications to make healthier, more nutritious meals and snacks!
