Tuesday Dietitian Tip: Nutrition For Your Workout (Part 2)

The time before you workout is a great way to maximize your efforts at the gym by getting the right nutrition. This will be different for everyone based on several factors, including what type of workout you’re going to do.

It’s good to have carbohydrates before a workout to help fuel your muscles and get the most out of your time at the gym.

It’s also good to have a little protein before working out to support post-workout recovery and prevent intra-workout hunger during prolonged exercise.

After adjusting your pre-workout nutrition, you just might notice those extra reps, the extra weight, and the extra endurance you’ll have at the gym!
