Weekly Dietitian Tip: Simple, sweet, and satisfying breakfast recipe

There is a lot of confusion as to what’s the best way to make your morning oatmeal. Are the instant packets really healthy? Which one should I choose? Do I need to start the night before with overnight oats? While instant packets can be a perfectly fine choice, they do tend to be a little high in added sugar for everyday use.

To skip the confusion and be sure you’re having a healthy breakfast- try this simple, sweet, and satisfying breakfast!


-1/2 C. oats

-1 C. water

-2/3 scoop of vanilla protein powder (based off 25g per scoop)

-top with cinnamon

Tip: microwave the oatmeal for 1 minute. Stir in the protein powder after microwaving.
