Why pregnant women should exercise

Pregnant women who have a doctor’s consent, are allowed to exercise to help to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Because of the change of the center of gravity, the work on balance is highly recommended, so it minimizes the chances of falls. Moderate strength training and cardio are also recommended to lower the incidence of excessive gestational weight gain, diabetes, hypertension, and preterm birth. (Berghella & Saccone 2017)
